Best Restaurants:
There are many good restaurants within 5
minutes of Bayside Commons.
Daimo Chinese Restaurant,
3288A Pierce St. (in Pacific East Shopping Mall).
This is authentic Chinese food, you can pick
some of the seafood fresh from the tanks in the restaurant.
It is also open very late!!! This is one of
the very few restaurants in the entire East Bay that is open to 2
and 3 A.M!

It is located on San Pablo Avenue about 2 to 3 blocks north of
Solano Ave.

Cafe Raj
North Indian & Pakistani Cuisine

Located on Solano Avenue about 1.5 blocks above San Pablo

I highly recommend Cafe Raj for good Indian food. It is
also open to 11 AM which is a real bonus.
Call ahead if you want take out!

I kind of like this place.
Good salads, bread, and main courses.

Red Hat Pizza
Located right next to Albany bowling alley.
Other places to eat:
You can find other great places to eat on 4th street in Berkeley
which is about a 10 minute drive from the condo.
Great steaks (probably the best in the East Bay Area) can be had at
Cafe Rouge.
Sporting Goods:
Copeland's Sports in El Cerrito Plaza
This is a damn good sporting goods store with almost anything you
could possible need.

This place is great...lots of delicious healthy foods to choose
from. Has a great butcher too. I think this is by far the best place
to shop for food in the Albany/El Cerrito area.
I highly recommedn El Cerrito Natural Grocery. Shop there
and shop frequently for fresh food! Only a 5 minute drive from
Bayside Commons!

Open until about 10 AM most days.
Safeway on Solano Avenue (open 24hours!)
Great for shopping if you get hungry at 4 AM like I do sometimes.

fresh baguettes available right next door at the bakery!
Best place for general shopping:
Target in Albany (there is a huge, 2 story Target outlet in
Albany).
Costco next to the marina (about 2 minute drive from condo)
Both of these places are within a 5 minute drive from Bayside
Commons!
Great places to relax:
Barnes & Noble in El Cerrito Plaza:
Get some coffee or tea and read a book.
Starbucks in El Cerrito plaza.
The Marina (past Costco is a place to walk dogs and sit by the
Bay)
